Asian Animation Sensation PUCCA to Roll Out Of Studio B

(Vancouver, BC) Studio B has started production work on PUCCA, Studio B Partner Chris Bartleman recently announced. The 78 x 7 minute flash series has been commissioned by kids broadcaster Jetix Europe and will retain the visual style of the previous shorts, while expanding PUCCA¹s cast and world. Originally inspired by Korean-based VOOZ Co., Ltd¹s characters, created for animated e-cards, PUCCA has already enjoyed wide mainstream success in Korea and throughout Asia and is now a licensing phenomenon across Europe. The series, aimed at 6 to 12 year old kids, is the first Flash animation series created for Jetix Europe and will debut on its channels in 2006.

The series follows the adventures of Pucca, the daughter of a Chinese restaurant owner, and her comical and single minded pursuit of her one true love, Garu. Unfortunately for Pucca, Garu is obsessed with becoming a ninja. Although only a novice, Garu¹s impressive ninja skills already include lightning leaps, the ability to replicate himself, and vanishing into thin air! Garu¹s number one enemy is Tobe, whose ninja gang aims to eliminate Garu and recover an ancient magic potion.
